Default Prize money reduction

Hi
Its is with regret that we have decided to reduce the prize money for the games with immediate effect due to the low number of participants
We will be using the money to try to grow the site further, add more games and hopefully then will be able to take the prizes back to a level beyond what they were

Default Prize Money

Sorry to see the prize money been slashed. Ihave and still will play at the matchstick games.
You have stated that there is not enough players taking part, how many were taking part?
Because I thought the competition was pretty fierce.
I also notice the win streak has gone to.
A shame this has happen as i enjoyed the competition against other oppentents and players that i know that take part.
I would understand taking the win streak away and left the prize money for the other three or cut out the bingo and leave the blackjack and roulette as the same.
Good gaming site all the same hope the rewards for winning goes back up. Good luck in the future.

Unhappy

Reducing the prize money at this late stage of the month seems a bit unfair, especially to those who put a lot of time and effort in attaining 100+ winstreaks on the roulette and also to the person who has been sitting top of the blackjack winstreak for most of the month. I agree with colalan in that the bingo should be binned and free up the prize money, after all it is matchstick "casino" , who plays bingo at a casino? I think the reasoning behind this decision is a bit flawed as I think it will put more people off rather than help the site to grow. I realise that the reduction had to happen but I think waiting till the start of the new month may have been the better option.

I've got to agree with Edhino, I'm not sure reducing the prize money to such a low level is going to help you draw members in, You'd have to manage to win 5 weeks now just to with draw your cheque. Maybe an incentive for registered members to advertise matchsticks would help, like the £1 you get for OLBG. I can understand that if your not pulling enough people through the site to make the prize money that you would need to do something. Maybe dropping the bingo all together is the way to free up some money. Oh well I'll still keep playing in the background at work. Fingers crossed you get enough traffic so that we don't lose matchsticks all together.

Default Prize Money

After reading the other players input, like myself i agree with what EDHINO has stated, I think it was a bit unfair to cancel the prize money and the win streak in the middle after several players have put there time in.
I was wondering if the rest of the matchsticks stops running will we lose our bank as it seams, it will take a while to reach the £25 mark.
All will you guarantee whats in our accounts and send cheques out to players with prize money.
Bringing the prize money down to £5 for 1st and 2nd has taken the skill out of the game, if you place a 500 chips on one number you could hold on to 1st spot for the week if you are lucky enough in roulette and hitting a streak on the poker placing 500 then you will be quids in again. It would not surprise me to find more players in the red than in the black.

Default pot luck

Since I been playing matchstick casino and getting great fun, I have notice, well have noticed, that in blackjack, the dealer always seams to recieve the right cards (2-9 + 10, 3-8 + 10) rarely the dealer receives a hand of (3-9, 4-8, 5-7) but when does manages to recieve the right card for 20 or 21.
I understand its pot luck and its all in the game. It seams more pot luck to the dealer than the player. If by chance you have a win streak of say 7 in the next few hands after, you are, for sure going to lose 8 or 9 on the trot.
Since the change of prize money, there are less players in profit and also less in quailifiers.
Can anyone explain the setup to me, I seam, not to get the fractions right for the two £5 prizes.
I notice that since week 13 until last week there are only average of 7 players in profit and a average of 4 qualifiers, it seams to me that players are going on and playing there maxium and once in the red not trying anymore, until the following. Surely this did not happen when the prize awards was higher.
Please do not get me wrong, I am not moaning about the setup as its good fun playing, but the chase has been lost some where.
